The African Union Election Observation Mission (AU-EOM) deployed to Ethiopia to monitor the 6th General Election released its preliminary assessment, acknowledging improvements in the electoral process while noting a number of significant concerns. The AU-EOM mission, comprising observers from across the African continent, was present across multiple regions on election day, June 21, 2021.
